The upcoming action thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge, widely referred to as Dhurandhar 2, has recorded impressive advance bookings for its premiere screenings, setting a new benchmark for Hindi cinema preview sales. Starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has generated strong early demand ahead of its theatrical release later this month.

Advance bookings for the film’s paid preview shows on March 18 opened recently and quickly saw a surge in ticket sales across India. Early trade estimates suggest that more than 1.2 lakh tickets have already been sold nationwide for the premiere screenings, generating over ₹13 crore in revenue. The numbers place the film among the strongest performers in terms of advance bookings for preview shows in Bollywood.

Industry observers note that the film has reportedly surpassed the previous premiere booking record held by Stree 2. Multiplex chains and urban markets have driven much of the early demand, with ticketing platforms reporting a rapid rise in bookings shortly after sales opened. The Hindi 2D version has accounted for the majority of tickets sold so far, reflecting strong interest from mainstream audiences.

The film is being released as a pan-India project and will be available in several languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. This multi-language strategy is expected to broaden its reach across regional markets and strengthen its opening-day performance at the domestic box office.

International markets have also shown encouraging trends. In North America, advance bookings for the premiere screenings have crossed $537,000 across more than 550 locations and over 1,000 scheduled shows, with more than 33,000 tickets sold so far. Opening-day advance sales in the United States alone have reached approximately $765,000, while first-weekend pre-sales in the region have already surpassed $1.45 million.

Set for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, Dhurandhar: The Revenge features a star-studded cast alongside Ranveer Singh, including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan and Arjun Rampal. With strong advance bookings and significant buzz following its trailer launch, industry analysts expect the film to open strongly at the global box office.
