The cast and crew of the upcoming war drama Border 2 launched the music video of the film’s song Ghar Kab Aaoge on January 2, 2026, at a grand event held at an amphitheater built in front of the revered Tanot Mata Temple in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The ceremony, attended by approximately 12,000 people, featured the presence of lead actors Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahaan Shetty, along with singer Sonu Nigam and producer Bhushan Kumar. Senior BSF officers, including Rajasthan Frontier IG ML Garg and South Sector DIG Mahesh Kumar Negi, also graced the occasion, underscoring the film’s strong connection to the armed forces.
During the event, Sunny Deol shared an emotional anecdote, revealing that his decision to star in the original Border (1997) was deeply inspired by his father Dharmendra’s iconic film Haqeeqat. Addressing the BSF soldiers present, Sunny said, “Ever since I did Border... I have been a part of your family. I did Border because I had watched my father’s movie Haqeeqat... I loved it a lot back then when I was a kid.” He further recounted how the film motivated numerous youths to join the Army, a sentiment echoed by soldiers he has met over the years. Overcome with emotion, Sunny concluded by delivering one of the most iconic lines from the Border 2 teaser: “Aawaz kaha tak pahuchni chahiye? Lahore Tak.”
Ghar Kab Aaoge is a recreation of the legendary song Sandese Aate Hain from the original Border, composed by Anu Malik. The new version features vocals by Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Vishal Mishra, and Diljit Dosanjh, with additional lyrics penned by Manoj Muntashir Shukla alongside Javed Akhtar’s original words. The song beautifully captures the longing of soldiers’ families waiting for their loved ones to return home, a theme central to the film’s narrative. The music video launch at Tanot Mata Temple, a site of deep significance for the Indian armed forces, added a poignant and symbolic touch to the event.
