Mini, the iconic British car marque, will commence bookings for the highly anticipated Countryman John Cooper Works (JCW) ALL4, ahead of its official India launch on October 14. This performance-oriented SUV marks the return of a petrol-powered variant to the Countryman lineup in India, which had recently shifted to an all-electric portfolio. Powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, the Countryman JCW delivers an exhilarating 300 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, channeled through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) and Mini’s ALL4 all-wheel drive system.
Mini claims the Countryman JCW can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, making it the fastest iteration of the new-generation Countryman currently available. With a top speed of 250 km/h, the SUV is designed to thrill. Its exterior exudes a bold John Cooper Works identity, featuring a reworked front bumper with larger air intakes, a gloss-black grille with red detailing, JCW-specific alloy wheels, quad exhaust tips, a sporty rear diffuser, a dual-tone bumper, and a prominent roof spoiler.
Inside, the cabin reflects a performance-driven aesthetic with seats adorned in contrast red stitching, JCW badging, and integrated headrests. The dashboard sports redesigned JCW graphics, complemented by a JCW-themed infotainment system, metallic pedals, ambient lighting, and a leather-wrapped JCW steering wheel with paddle shifters. These updates elevate the driving experience, blending luxury with sporty flair.

Until now, the Countryman range in India has been exclusively electric, offering 201 hp and a 462 km WLTP-rated range. The JCW’s arrival reintroduces an internal combustion engine (ICE) option, positioning it as the sole petrol-powered variant in the lineup. Globally, it competes with compact luxury performance SUVs like the Audi SQ2, BMW X1 M35i, and Mercedes-AMG GLA 35.
In India, the Countryman JCW is expected to carry a price tag of approximately ₹70 lakh (ex-showroom), with final pricing to be confirmed at launch. Given the limited allocation of just 20 units for the Countryman Electric JCW earlier this year, production numbers for the petrol variant are likely to be similarly restricted, making it a coveted choice for enthusiasts.
The Mini Countryman JCW ALL4 promises to redefine performance in India’s luxury SUV segment, combining British design heritage with raw power and cutting-edge technology.
