Mahindra has released a new teaser for the upcoming XUV 7XO, confirming a premium triple-screen dashboard layout similar to its electric siblings, the XEV 9e and XEV 9S. The setup features three connected displays—a digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment touchscreen, and a dedicated co-driver entertainment screen—housed in a single horizontal panel across the dashboard. This marks the first adoption of the advanced configuration in Mahindra's internal combustion engine lineup, elevating the cabin's technological appeal ahead of the SUV's debut on January 5, 2026.
Additional confirmed features include an Electric Boss Mode, allowing rear passengers to electrically adjust the front passenger seat for enhanced legroom, along with rear window sun blinds for privacy. The teaser reveals a redesigned two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Twin Peaks logo, multi-zone ambient lighting, and a refreshed dual-tone interior theme combining beige and maroon shades, departing from the darker palette of the current XUV700.
Rear-seat convenience is emphasised through dedicated fixtures for mounting personal tablets or devices, adopting a Bring Your Own Device approach rather than fixed screens. This flexible setup maintains a clean cabin while enabling customised entertainment options for passengers.

Mechanically, the XUV 7XO is expected to retain the XUV700's powertrains—a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine—paired with six-speed manual or automatic transmissions, including optional all-wheel drive on select diesel variants.
Pre-bookings for the XUV 7XO are now open at Rs 21,000 through Mahindra dealerships or online, building anticipation for the updated flagship SUV that will compete against models like the Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus upon launch. As Mahindra positions the XUV 7XO as a more premium evolution of the XUV700, these enhancements focus on luxury, connectivity, and passenger comfort in the competitive three-row SUV segment.
