Hero’s electric scooter brand Vida has unveiled the all-new VX2, a budget-friendly, family-oriented electric scooter designed for urban commuters. Priced attractively starting at ₹59,490 (ex-showroom Delhi) with a Battery as a Subscription (BaaS) option, the Vida VX2 aims to make electric mobility accessible to more Indian households.
Two Variants to Choose From: Go and Plus
The Vida VX2 comes in two trims — the Go and the Plus. The Go variant features a 2.2 kWh battery delivering an impressive IDC-certified range of 92 km, while the Plus ups the ante with a larger 3.4 kWh battery, offering a claimed range of 142 km on a single charge. Both variants are available with or without the BaaS plan, giving buyers flexible ownership options. The Plus model is priced at ₹64,990 with BaaS and ₹1.10 lakh without.

Family-Friendly Design with Modern Features
Unlike its predecessor, the Vida V2, the VX2 sports a smoother, more family-friendly design with a single-piece seat, pillion backrest, and handlebar shroud to enhance comfort for both rider and passenger. The scooter retains the familiar headlight, tail light, and indicator design from the V2 model.
Connectivity is standard on both variants, and they operate using a physical key. The Go comes equipped with a 4.3-inch LCD display, while the Plus features a sharper 4.3-inch TFT dashboard. Both models run on 12-inch wheels for a balanced ride.
Charging and Storage Details
Charging times vary depending on the variant. The Go’s 2.2 kWh battery fully charges in approximately 3 hours and 53 minutes with the supplied 580W charger, while the Plus takes around 5 hours and 39 minutes to recharge its larger 3.4 kWh battery. Both support fast charging to minimize downtime.
Storage-wise, the Go offers a spacious underseat compartment of 33.2 litres thanks to its single-battery layout. The Plus variant’s storage drops slightly to 27.2 litres due to housing two batteries.
Performance and Riding Modes
The Vida VX2 Go reaches a top speed of 70 km/h and offers two riding modes — Eco and Ride. The Plus pushes the speed limit to 80 km/h and adds a Sport mode for those seeking extra zest. For safety, the Go variant is equipped with front drum brakes as confirmed in the lead-up teasers.
Colour Choices and Pricing Breakdown
Buyers can select from seven vibrant colours: blue, black, yellow, red, white, grey, and orange. However, the exclusive grey and orange shades are reserved for the Plus model.
