The upcoming Vivo X500 series is expected to introduce a significant redesign in display sizing across its lineup, with leaks suggesting that the company may reposition screen dimensions differently from its current X300 generation. The series is likely to include three models — Vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max — and is expected to launch later in 2026.
According to industry tipster Digital Chat Station, as cited in reports, Vivo appears to be reversing its previous sizing strategy. The standard X500 model is tipped to feature a larger 6.59-inch display, up from the 6.31-inch panel seen on the base X300. This suggests Vivo may be aiming to offer a more immersive experience even in its entry-level flagship variant.
In contrast, the X500 Pro is reportedly set to adopt a smaller, more compact form factor compared to its predecessor. While the X300 Pro features a 6.78-inch display, the X500 Pro could shrink to around 6.31 inches, making it significantly more pocket-friendly. This shift indicates a possible repositioning of the Pro model towards users who prefer high-end performance in a compact body.

At the top end, the X500 Pro Max is expected to retain a large-screen format, with leaks pointing to a 6.85-inch display. This positions it as the most premium and visually expansive device in the lineup, catering to users seeking a larger multimedia and productivity-focused smartphone experience.
Beyond display changes, earlier reports suggest the series will also bring processor upgrades. The standard X500 is expected to be powered by MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9600 chipset, while the Pro and Pro Max variants may feature the more advanced Dimensity 9600 Pro. This represents a shift from the X300 series, where both base and Pro models used the same Dimensity 9500 processor, indicating a clearer performance segmentation across the lineup.
