Cricket maestro Sachin Tendulkar praised Pujara’s calming presence at the crease, highlighting his pivotal role in India’s historic 2018 Test series win in Australia. “Your solid technique, patience, and composure under pressure have been a pillar for the team,” Tendulkar wrote on X, wishing him well for his “second innings.”
India head coach Gautam Gambhir lauded Pujara’s resilience, stating, “He stood tall when the storm raged, he fought when hope was fading.” Former India batter VVS Laxman recalled Pujara’s defining moment at the 2021 Gabba Test, where he braved physical blows to secure a series-clinching victory, symbolizing his relentless commitment to the team.
