Qatar Museums (QM) and the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) have signed a landmark five-year strategic partnership to launch Museum-In-Residence Education Initiatives in both India and Qatar. The agreement, formalized on December 23, 2025, at the National Museum of Qatar in Doha, aims to bring QM’s innovative, playful museum-based learning models to schools and cultural spaces across India while fostering mutual cultural exchange. The collaboration builds on the ongoing Year of Culture between Qatar and India, focusing on inspiring creativity, empathy, and confidence in young learners through hands-on educational programs.
The signing ceremony was led by Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums, and Isha Ambani, Director at Reliance Industries and daughter of Nita Mukesh Ambani. Under the agreement, a series of Museum-in-Residence programs will be established in both countries, designed to provide children with engaging, interactive experiences rooted in museum learning. These initiatives will equip educators with new tools to promote imaginative and creative teaching methods nationwide.
In India, NMACC will collaborate closely with the Reliance Foundation to roll out the programs across multiple regions. QM specialists, including experts from the Dadu Children’s Museum of Qatar, will conduct masterclasses, deliver hands-on mentoring, and share best practices to ensure high-quality implementation. The partnership emphasizes the shared belief that culture sparks imagination and education transforms potential into reality, creating empowering learning opportunities for children in both nations.

Isha Ambani echoed this sentiment, emphasizing NMACC’s commitment to bringing global ideas to India while sharing India’s rich cultural heritage worldwide. She stressed that the partnership would spark innovative forms of learning to help every child dream boldly and learn confidently.
This five-year agreement marks a significant step in deepening cultural and educational ties between Qatar and India. By combining QM’s pioneering museum education models with NMACC’s expansive reach and the Reliance Foundation’s grassroots network, the initiative is expected to benefit thousands of children and educators, fostering cross-cultural understanding and creativity for years to come.
