The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has released the provisional answer key for the UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination 2026, allowing candidates to assess their performance in the written test. The answer key was made available on June 20 for the recruitment drive aimed at filling 32,679 Constable (Civil Police and Equivalent) posts across the state. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now compare their responses with the official answers and estimate their likely scores.
The recruitment examination was conducted in offline mode using OMR sheets over three days — June 8, June 9 and June 10, 2026 — at various examination centres across Uttar Pradesh. Thousands of aspirants participated in the examination, which is one of the largest police recruitment drives currently underway in the state. The release of the provisional answer key marks an important step in the selection process.
Candidates who find discrepancies in the provisional answer key have been given an opportunity to raise objections. The objection window opened on June 20 and will remain active until June 23, 2026. During this period, candidates can submit representations against any answer they believe is incorrect, enabling the recruitment board to review and verify concerns before finalising the evaluation process.

According to the UPPRPB, all objections received within the stipulated period will be carefully examined. After reviewing the challenges submitted by candidates, the board will prepare and publish the final answer key. The result of the written examination will be declared on the basis of this final answer key, making the objection process a crucial stage for candidates seeking fair evaluation.
To access the answer key, candidates need to visit the official UPPRPB website and select the relevant examination date and shift. The provisional answer key can then be viewed and downloaded for future reference. Aspirants are advised to review the document thoroughly and submit any valid objections before the deadline, as no challenges are expected to be entertained after the objection window closes.
The ongoing recruitment campaign seeks to fill 32,679 constable vacancies across Uttar Pradesh. Applicants were required to have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination. Candidates who clear the written examination will proceed to subsequent stages, including document verification, the Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and medical examination. A final merit list will be prepared after the completion of all selection stages, determining the successful candidates for appointment in the state police force.
