A routine police trip turned into a nightmare early Saturday when two Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) from Andhra Pradesh's Intelligence Department were killed in a devastating road crash near Kaithapuram village around 4:45 am.
The deceased, Chakradhar Rao and Shantha Rao, were reportedly en route to Hyderabad on official duty when their vehicle attempted to swerve away from a potential collision. Instead, tragedy struck: the car slammed into a road divider and was then crushed head-on by a speeding lorry from the opposite direction.
Eyewitnesses describe the collision as catastrophic, with wreckage scattered across the highway. Another version of the incident claims that it was the lorry that lost control, crossing the divider before plowing into the officers’ car.

Choutuppal Inspector G Manmadha Kumar confirmed that a case has been registered, and forensic experts have been called in to determine the precise sequence of events.
The incident has deeply shaken the police community across the state, with tributes pouring in for the fallen officers who died while serving the line of duty.
