TVS Motor Company has announced plans to significantly increase its production capacity over the next year as the company looks to meet rising demand in domestic and international markets. The two- and three-wheeler manufacturer said it aims to ramp up output by nearly 15 lakh units within the next 12 months, with the expansion primarily focused on its manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.
The planned production increase is expected to strengthen the company’s ability to cater to growing demand across multiple vehicle segments, including scooters, motorcycles, and electric mobility products. Industry demand has remained strong in recent quarters due to improving rural consumption, urban mobility needs, and increased exports to global markets. The expansion at the Hosur plant is likely to support both conventional internal combustion engine models and the company’s growing electric vehicle portfolio.
TVS Motor Company has been steadily expanding its presence in India’s competitive two-wheeler market while also investing heavily in innovation and manufacturing efficiency. The company has emerged as one of the leading players in the electric scooter segment through products such as the iQube electric scooter. Analysts believe the additional production capacity could help the company improve delivery timelines, strengthen dealership supply, and capture a larger market share amid intensifying competition from established and emerging automotive brands.
