President Donald Trump intensified his feud with former President Barack Obama by sharing a provocative AI-generated video on Truth Social, depicting FBI agents arresting Obama in the Oval Office.
The video opens with a clip of Obama stating, “especially the President is above the law,” followed by various U.S. politicians declaring, “no one is above the law.” It then transitions to a fabricated scene where two FBI agents handcuff Obama in the Oval Office, with Trump visibly smirking in the background. The video concludes with an image of Obama in an orange prison jumpsuit behind bars.
Trump posted the video without a disclaimer acknowledging its fictional nature, drawing sharp criticism from opponents who labeled the move “recklessly irresponsible.”

This stunt follows Trump’s recent claims of “high-level election fraud” by Obama. Last week, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard alleged she has “compelling” evidence that former Obama administration officials fabricated the Trump-Russia collusion narrative post-2016 election to undermine Trump’s presidency. In a post on X, Gabbard called for a trial, stating, “Americans deserve the truth about how the Obama administration weaponized intelligence to orchestrate a years-long coup against President Trump, defying the will of the people.”
However, a 114-page report from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) contradicts these claims. The document, released last week, confirms that before the 2016 election, the Intelligence Community assessed that Russia was “probably not trying to influence the election through cyber means.” A December 8, 2016, draft of the President’s Daily Brief further noted that Russia’s cyber activities “did not impact recent U.S. election results.”
The AI video and Trump’s ongoing attacks have reignited debates about misinformation and political accountability, with critics warning of the dangers posed by unchecked deepfake technology.
