Donald Trump sparked widespread online discussion after sharing a series of AI-generated images on social media, including one depicting himself and senior cabinet members shirtless inside the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
The image, posted late Friday night on Truth Social, shows Trump reclining on a golden inflatable lounger while giving a thumbs-up, alongside JD Vance, Marco Rubio, and Doug Burgum. The unusual visual also includes an unidentified AI-generated woman, adding to curiosity and online reactions.
The post was part of a rapid series of uploads, with Trump sharing 11 AI-generated images within a span of approximately 40 minutes. Among the other images circulated was one featuring his likeness superimposed onto Mount Rushmore, further amplifying the viral nature of the posts.

While the images were widely perceived as humorous or unconventional, they also drew attention due to their setting. The Reflecting Pool, located on the National Mall, is currently undergoing a renovation project reportedly valued at $1.5 million, which has been linked to initiatives backed by Trump and overseen by the Interior Department.
According to statements shared by Trump, the renovation aims to address structural issues such as leaks in the granite foundation and to enhance the pool’s appearance ahead of the United States’ 250th Independence anniversary celebrations. He has also criticized the previous administration for the condition of the site prior to the project.
The incident highlights the growing role of AI-generated content in political communication and public discourse, where such posts can quickly gain traction online. It also underscores how digital platforms are increasingly being used by political figures to engage audiences in unconventional ways, blending governance narratives with viral social media trends.
