US President Donald Trump’s name appears more than a million times in the unredacted Jeffrey Epstein files, according to Representative Jamie Raskin, a senior Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee. Raskin made the claim in an interview with Axios, stating that a keyword search of the documents yielded an extraordinarily high number of results referencing “Trump,” “Donald,” or “Don.”
Raskin clarified that his search did not involve manually reviewing each of the more than three million files that remain partially or fully censored. “I typed in the words Trump, Donald or Don and came up with a million results,” he said, adding that he could not definitively confirm that every instance referred specifically to Donald Trump, as the name could apply to others as well.
The congressman also raised concerns about the volume of redacted material still withheld from public view. He questioned the administration’s earlier assertion that many of the unreleased files were duplicative, arguing that millions of pages remain unseen. “These are the files I’d like to see,” Raskin stated, emphasizing the need for fuller transparency.

The US Justice Department recently released a substantial cache of documents under the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said the department disclosed over three million pages of documents, along with more than 2,000 videos and approximately 180,000 images. The latest release included records that had been withheld during an initial disclosure in December.
The release of the files followed sustained political and public pressure, culminating in bipartisan congressional action to pass the transparency legislation. It is publicly known that Trump had social ties with Epstein during the 1990s and early 2000s, though he has denied any wrongdoing. The broader implications of the document releases, including the context of the references to Trump’s name, remain under scrutiny as lawmakers continue their review.
