The Tamil Nadu government has undertaken a restructuring of its Highways Department aimed at improving administrative efficiency, accelerating project execution, and strengthening infrastructure planning across the state.

The revamp is intended to streamline operations within the department by reorganising key divisions and redefining roles and responsibilities.
