The Telangana government is exploring the establishment of a major integrated data centre and AI infrastructure campus in the state, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said on Tuesday, signalling a push to strengthen the state’s digital and technology ecosystem. The announcement came after a meeting with Bharti Enterprises Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal in Hyderabad.
During the discussions, the Chief Minister emphasised the need to expand Airtel’s digital, cloud, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence operations in Hyderabad. He also suggested the early launch of the proposed Chandanvelli data centre project, describing it as a key step in building large-scale digital infrastructure in the state. CM Revanth Reddy further urged Mittal to appoint a senior executive to coordinate with the state government on investment proposals and ensure faster resolution of infrastructure-related issues. The move is aimed at streamlining collaboration between the government and private sector players to accelerate upcoming digital projects in the state.
