Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is set to undertake a crucial two-day visit to New Delhi starting Monday, aiming to hold high-level discussions with central ministers to secure funding and approvals for major state development initiatives, according to official sources. The visit underscores Reddy’s commitment to advancing Telangana’s infrastructure and economic growth through strategic partnerships with the central government.
The Chief Minister’s Delhi tour begins after he inaugurates the Vana Mahotsavam programme, a significant afforestation initiative, at PJT Agricultural University in Hyderabad. In New Delhi, Reddy is expected to prioritize discussions on securing financial support and clearances for transformative projects, including the ambitious Regional Ring Road (RRR) to enhance connectivity around Hyderabad, the Musi river rejuvenation project aimed at revitalizing the city’s iconic waterway, and the expansion of the Hyderabad Metro Rail to improve urban mobility.
Sources indicate that these meetings are critical for unlocking central assistance to accelerate Telangana’s infrastructure agenda, which is seen as pivotal to the state’s long-term development goals. Reddy’s proactive engagement with Union ministers reflects his administration’s focus on aligning state priorities with national development schemes. The Chief Minister is scheduled to return to Hyderabad on Tuesday, July 8, with expectations of positive outcomes for these flagship projects.
