Actor Sonali Bendre and her husband Goldie Behl have been accused of fraud and regulatory violations in connection with a land deal in Pune’s Maval area. The allegations have been made by a local farmer, who claims ancestral ownership of the disputed property.
The complainant, Chandrakant Shinde, has alleged that his family has held rights over the approximately 30-guntha plot of land in Uksan village since 1957. He claims that the land was illegally acquired, disregarding his family’s ownership, and has approached the Civil Court in Vadgaon Maval seeking legal relief and protection of his claimed rights over the land.
In response, Sonali has strongly denied all allegations, stating that her name does not appear in any government records or land sale-purchase documents related to the property. Through her legal team, she has termed the accusations “baseless” and claimed they were made with the intention of extorting money and damaging her reputation.

The complaint also alleges that attempts were made to carry out illegal construction on the land and that the farmer’s family faced threats during the process. Following these claims, a police complaint was filed, but authorities later treated the matter as a civil dispute, leading to the case being taken to court for resolution.
According to Sonali’s lawyer, Raju Shinde, the complainant had previously approached multiple government authorities, including the Tehsildar and the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), but his appeals were dismissed at various levels. The legal team has maintained that all procedures related to the land transaction were carried out lawfully.
The case is now under judicial consideration, with Chandrakant Shinde seeking a stay order on the disputed land to prevent any further activity. The next hearing has been scheduled for April 20, where Sonali and Goldie are expected to present their defence as the court examines the claims and counterclaims in detail.
