Russia’s participation as the partner country at the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025 will drive international collaboration and solidify the state’s position as a global trade hub, said Uttar Pradesh Minister for Industrial Development and Exports Promotion, Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’, on Thursday. The four-day event, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida, runs from September 25 to 29 under the theme “Ultimate Sourcing Begins Here.”
Nandi highlighted Russia’s involvement as a pivotal moment for UPITS 2025, emphasising its potential to foster bilateral trade, technology exchange, and long-term strategic alliances. “Russia’s active participation will give fresh impetus to international collaboration and cross-border ventures, cementing Uttar Pradesh’s role as a crucial trade hub,” he stated. The partnership builds on decades-long diplomatic and economic ties between India and Russia, now extending to state-level initiatives, offering a platform for cultural, commercial, and technological exchange.
The trade show, designed to be larger and more inclusive than previous editions, expects over 2,400 exhibitors, 125,000 B2B visitors, and 450,000 B2C visitors across 110,000 square meters of exhibition space. A new three-dimensional buyer strategy targets international buyers, domestic business-to-business (B2B) participants, and domestic business-to-consumer (B2C) visitors, creating opportunities for large exporters, small businesses, and consumers. The event showcases Uttar Pradesh’s diverse sectors, including handicrafts, textiles, leather, agriculture, food processing, IT, electronics, wellness, and AYUSH.
