On the occasion of National Girl Child Day, the popular X handle ‘Modi Archive’ highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s sustained commitment to empowering the girl child, underscoring that strengthening daughters is central to building a strong and progressive nation. The post noted that this belief has consistently guided PM Modi’s public life and governance priorities.
According to the message shared on X, the Prime Minister’s focus on girls has shaped national thinking across key sectors such as education, sports, science, and innovation. “Empowering daughters strengthens the nation,” the post stated, adding that this principle has influenced policies and initiatives aimed at ensuring equal opportunities for girls across India.
The post also highlighted the inspirational journey of Tarushi Gaur, a taekwondo achiever from Chandigarh, as an example of how this vision has translated into tangible outcomes. Beginning her training at the age of four, Tarushi went on to win medals at national school games, federation tournaments, and CBSE nationals, eventually becoming a Guinness World Record holder.

In 2022, notably on National Girl Child Day, Tarushi was conferred the Rashtriya Bal Shakti Puraskar by Prime Minister Modi. Recalling the moment, she described the interaction with the Prime Minister as life-changing, noting his humility, cultural rootedness, and enthusiasm while engaging with young achievers.
Tarushi said the Prime Minister’s words encouraged her to continue striving for excellence. She added that his approachable nature helped young awardees overcome nervousness, making the ceremony a deeply motivating experience that was broadcast live to inspire students across the country.
Referring to flagship initiatives such as Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Kanya Kelavani, and continued support for girls in education and sports, the post emphasised that empowering the girl child remains a key pillar of governance. It concluded by stating that National Girl Child Day is not merely a celebration, but a reminder that when girls progress, the nation moves forward with them.
