Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a sharp jab at opposition parties, accusing them of prioritizing family interests over national progress, while his government champions inclusive development.
Speaking at an event in his parliamentary constituency, Modi laid the foundation for 44 projects worth Rs 3,880 crore, emphasizing his mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas (Together with All, Development for All).
“While we work for every citizen’s betterment, power-hungry opponents obsess over parivar ka saath, parivar ka vikas (family support, family development),” Modi said, criticizing dynastic politics. He contrasted their “games” with his focus on transformative growth.
The projects unveiled include 130 drinking water initiatives, 100 new anganwadi centers, 356 libraries, a polytechnic college in Pindra, and a government degree college, according to Varanasi Divisional Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma. Modi also inaugurated a transit hostel at the police lines, police barracks in Ramnagar, and four rural roads, boosting local infrastructure.
Highlighting regional progress, Modi noted Kashi’s rise as a “health capital,” a stark contrast to Purvanchal’s past lack of medical facilities. He also reiterated his ambition to host the 2036 Olympics in India, signaling bold national goals.
Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath joined Modi at the event, underscoring the projects’ significance. The initiatives reflect the government’s push for rural upliftment and equitable development, aligning with Modi’s vision of a stronger, united India.
