Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended greetings on the occasion of Tamil New Year, Puthandu, while also meeting Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan in a gesture of festive goodwill. In his message on social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi conveyed warm wishes to citizens celebrating Puthandu, praying for a year filled with happiness, success, and good health. He described the occasion as one that symbolises renewal and new beginnings, while also emphasising the importance of Tamil culture, its literary and artistic heritage, and its continued global influence.
The Prime Minister also met Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan on the occasion, where the two leaders exchanged greetings and participated in traditional rituals.
