Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended birthday greetings to Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, highlighting his public standing and role in the NDA government in the state. Modi described Kalyan as widely respected among the people and noted his contribution towards advancing the alliance government’s good governance agenda. Pawan Kalyan, who is also the president of the Jana Sena Party, turned 55 on Wednesday.
In a post on X, Modi wished Kalyan a long and healthy life dedicated to serving society. The Prime Minister highlighted his role in giving momentum to the NDA’s governance initiatives in Andhra Pradesh. Kalyan has been serving as Deputy Chief Minister since the alliance led by the Telugu Desam Party, Jana Sena Party and BJP formed the government following the 2024 Assembly elections.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended birthday greetings to Kalyan. Shah highlighted the Deputy Chief Minister’s efforts towards implementing the NDA’s development vision and welfare agenda in Andhra Pradesh. He also wished Kalyan good health so that he could continue working for the people of the state.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu also conveyed his birthday wishes to the Jana Sena Party chief. Naidu highlighted Kalyan’s work in the Panchayati Raj department and referred to various development initiatives undertaken under his leadership. He also pointed to efforts involving road construction, promoting greenery and addressing difficulties faced by tribal communities.
Naidu further highlighted Kalyan’s contribution to the alliance government’s broader efforts towards rebuilding Andhra Pradesh. He noted that reforms and development programmes in different areas were bringing visible changes across the state. The Chief Minister also expressed his wishes for Kalyan to celebrate many more birthdays while continuing his work for the people.
Kalyan was born on September 2, 1971, and entered politics after establishing the Jana Sena Party on March 14, 2014. He is also a prominent actor in the Telugu film industry and is popularly known as “Power Star” among his fans. Following the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, he assumed office as Deputy Chief Minister and has since been part of the state’s NDA administration.
