Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday delivered a firm and unambiguous message on India’s approach to terrorism during his address in Malaysia, asserting that there can be “no double standards, no compromise” in dealing with the global threat.
Speaking after bilateral talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, PM Modi said India’s position on terrorism is clear and consistent, emphasizing that selective approaches only weaken global efforts to counter extremism. He underlined the need for countries to adopt a unified and principled stand, without ambiguity, to effectively combat terror networks.
The talks between the two leaders in Kuala Lumpur also focused on expanding cooperation beyond security. India and Malaysia unveiled a series of initiatives aimed at deepening collaboration in defense and strategic sectors, alongside growing economic engagement. Emerging technologies, including semiconductors and other critical industries, featured prominently in the discussions.
