A shocking incident unfolded at a Pizza Hut outlet in Hyderabad on Sunday when staff members allegedly assaulted a Zomato delivery executive over a low customer rating. The confrontation was captured on the restaurant’s CCTV cameras, now under police scrutiny.
According to the delivery boy’s complaint, he visited the outlet for a routine order pickup when employees confronted him, blaming him for a recent poor rating that they claimed damaged the restaurant’s online reputation. The staff reportedly taunted him first, then escalated into a heated argument before turning violent. Eyewitness accounts describe several employees hitting the delivery partner and dragging him to the ground.
The delivery executive tried to clarify that customer ratings are assigned by users and not controlled by delivery personnel, but the assault continued with threats and physical blows. He sustained injuries and later filed a police complaint detailing the sequence of events.
