In a swift crackdown, the Nand Nagri Police Station team arrested two notorious chain snatchers from Uttar Pradesh, dismantling a criminal operation targeting Delhi’s streets, police announced on Saturday.
The duo, whose identities remain undisclosed, was apprehended following an intensive investigation into a recent chain snatching incident in the northeast Delhi area.
The police seized a brand-new Bajaj Pulsar N-125 motorcycle, used by the suspects to execute their crime, blending into the city’s bustling traffic to evade capture.

The stolen gold chain, valued at approximately ₹63,000, was traced to a Muthoot Finance branch where the accused had mortgaged it, providing a crucial lead for the authorities.
This arrest comes amid heightened efforts by Delhi Police to curb chain snatching, a persistent issue in the capital, particularly in densely populated areas like Nand Nagri.
The Nand Nagri team’s success underscores their commitment to tackling street crimes, with ongoing investigations to determine if the suspects are linked to other similar incidents across the city.
