Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is scheduled to distribute e-scooters to more than 7,500 meritorious students under the state government’s Chief Minister Scooty Scheme. The state-level distribution programme will be held on September 16 at Government Subhash Excellence Higher Secondary School in Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal, beginning at 10 am. The initiative is aimed at recognising students who have performed exceptionally well in their Class 12 examinations and supporting their transition to higher education.
The beneficiaries will include eligible students from government higher secondary schools who excelled in the 2025–26 academic session. The scheme seeks to make travel to colleges and other higher education institutions more convenient for students, particularly those who may face difficulties commuting long distances. The government has described the programme as an effort to encourage academic excellence while helping meritorious students continue their studies after completing school.
Under the official eligibility guidelines, students must have secured the first position in Class 12 within their respective schools and obtained at least 70 per cent marks in their first attempt. The scheme applies to regular students studying in government higher secondary schools under the School Education and Tribal Affairs Departments. Students from all academic streams are eligible, provided they meet the prescribed performance and institutional requirements.

The distribution event in Bhopal will serve as the state-level programme for the latest group of beneficiaries. More than 7,500 students across Madhya Pradesh are expected to receive e-scooters for the academic session. The assistance is intended not only as a reward for their performance but also as practical support to reduce transportation-related difficulties as they enter colleges or pursue further education.
According to official records, over 23,000 eligible students have benefited from the Chief Minister Scooty Scheme since its launch. The state government has said that recognising students from government schools can motivate others to work harder and improve their academic performance. It has also emphasised that encouraging achievement in government institutions can strengthen students’ interest in education and increase their participation in higher studies.
The scheme is therefore positioned as both a merit-based incentive and an educational support measure. By linking academic achievement with mobility assistance, the Madhya Pradesh government aims to encourage students to perform well while helping them overcome commuting challenges after school. The upcoming distribution in Bhopal will mark another phase of the programme, with thousands of students set to receive e-scooters in recognition of their Class 12 results.
