In a significant development in the Amravati explicit video case, a minor victim has agreed to record her statement before the Amravati Police, providing a crucial boost to the ongoing investigation into the alleged circulation of obscene content involving minors. The case had surfaced after explicit videos, reportedly featuring underage girls, were widely circulated on social media platforms, triggering outrage and a swift police response.
The investigation is being conducted under stringent legal provisions, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, reflecting the seriousness of the allegations. Authorities have emphasized that the protection of victims’ identities remains a top priority, and measures are in place to ensure their safety throughout the legal process.
On Saturday, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, the state’s Revenue Minister and guardian minister for Amravati, visited the Superintendent of Police’s office to review the progress of the probe. During his visit, he directed officials to conduct a thorough investigation from all possible angles and ensure that no accused individuals evade legal action.

Police officials confirmed that three mobile phones seized from the accused are currently undergoing forensic examination to retrieve digital evidence.
