The Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala has unveiled its election manifesto, promising a ₹3,000 monthly pension for eligible citizens, initiatives to boost employment, and comprehensive measures aimed at poverty eradication. The announcement comes ahead of the state assembly elections, reflecting the coalition’s focus on welfare and inclusive development.
According to party leaders, the pension scheme is intended to provide financial security to senior citizens, differently-abled individuals, and other vulnerable groups. The LDF emphasized that these measures would help reduce economic disparities and improve the quality of life for marginalized communities.
On employment, the manifesto outlines plans to encourage both public and private sector job creation. Proposals include skill development programs, incentives for startups, and partnerships with industries to enhance job opportunities for youth and professionals across the state.

The coalition also highlighted its commitment to poverty alleviation, pledging targeted interventions such as subsidized housing, healthcare support, and educational assistance for low-income families. Officials stated that the approach combines immediate relief with long-term structural programs to promote economic empowerment.
Political analysts noted that welfare-focused promises, including direct cash transfers and job initiatives, are likely aimed at consolidating traditional LDF support bases while appealing to undecided voters concerned about economic security.
With elections approaching, the LDF’s manifesto positions the coalition as a pro-development and welfare-oriented alternative, seeking to balance social protection with employment growth to strengthen its electoral prospects in Kerala.
