Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led government on Monday, accusing its “four-engine” administration of failing to maintain law and order after three prominent schools in Delhi’s Dwarka area received bomb threats via email. The threats targeted Delhi Public School, Modern Convent School, and Shri Ram World School, sparking widespread panic and prompting immediate evacuations of students and staff.
In a fiery post on X, Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief, highlighted the recurring nature of such threats, noting, “Schools in Delhi keep receiving bomb threats repeatedly, but no one has been caught, and no action has been taken.” He criticized the BJP’s governance, stating, “The BJP can neither manage Delhi nor maintain law and order. Their so-called ‘four-engine government’ has completely failed.” The term “four-engine” refers to AAP’s characterization of BJP’s control over the central government, Delhi’s administration, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), and influence over the Lieutenant Governor’s office.
Senior AAP leader Atishi amplified Kejriwal’s concerns, expressing alarm over the ongoing fear gripping parents and students. “The series of threats to schools is not stopping. Children and parents are living in fear, but the BJP’s four-engine government has failed to provide them security,” she posted on X, questioning the Delhi Police’s inaction in apprehending those responsible.

The bomb threats, which authorities later deemed hoaxes, follow a disturbing pattern of similar incidents targeting educational institutions in the capital. Despite heightened security measures, no perpetrators have been identified, fueling public frustration and criticism of law enforcement’s response. The Delhi Police have launched an investigation, with cybercrime units analyzing the threatening emails, but no breakthroughs have been reported as of Monday afternoon.
The incidents have heightened tensions between AAP and BJP, with the opposition leveraging the situation to underscore perceived governance failures. As Delhi grapples with these unsettling threats, parents and school authorities are demanding stronger security measures and swift action to ensure the safety of students, while AAP continues to challenge the BJP’s ability to govern effectively.
