Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated a landmark division-level job fair in Mysuru on October 17, 2025, unveiling a Diwali bonanza of approximately 45,000 vacancies for over 24,000 registered candidates. Held at Maharaja College Grounds, the event, organized by the Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, aims to ignite an employment revolution across the state. The recruitment drive, running from 9 AM to 5 PM, features 221 reputed companies from sectors such as IT, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, and education. With salary packages ranging from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 per month for freshers and up to Rs 50,000 for experienced candidates, the fair offers a diverse array of roles. Many employers are expected to provide on-the-spot job offers, while others will conduct multi-stage selection processes, ensuring opportunities for candidates at various career stages.
Beyond immediate placements, the Karnataka government is committed to enhancing employability. Officials announced that candidates who do not secure jobs at the fair will have their data collected for tailored skill development training, aligning with the state’s broader mission to bridge the skill gap between job seekers and employers. The event also integrates with the Yuva Nidhi Scheme, prioritizing registered candidates to maximize the impact of state welfare programs.
