Anmol Bishnoi, the 25-year-old younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and a prime accused in the sensational murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, was deported from the United States and placed under formal arrest the moment his flight touched down in New Delhi on Tuesday, delivering a decisive victory to Indian law enforcement agencies after more than a year of intense international pursuit.
Carrying a ₹10 lakh reward and listed among the National Investigation Agency’s most-wanted terrorists, Anmol will now be produced before a special MCOCA court in Mumbai for transit remand and subsequent detailed interrogation. The successful extradition-deportation operation, coordinated between the CBI, NIA, Mumbai Police and US federal authorities, ends a prolonged diplomatic effort that began when he was first detained by American immigration officials in November 2024.
According to the official communication sent by the US Department of Homeland Security to the Siddique family on November 18, 2025, Anmol Bishnoi was “removed” from the United States under federal deportation proceedings. From his overseas bases, investigators allege, he functioned as the principal foreign handler of the Bishnoi crime syndicate, personally orchestrating the October 12, 2024, assassination of Baba Siddique in Bandra, the April 14, 2024, firing outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments residence (for which he publicly claimed responsibility on social media), and providing logistical and financial support for the May 2022 daylight murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.

After fleeing India on a forged passport immediately following the Moosewala killing, Anmol reportedly routed himself through Nepal, Dubai, Kenya, and eventually entered the United States, where he maintained a low profile while continuing to issue threats and coordinate criminal operations through encrypted platforms. Intelligence sources confirm that at least 18 serious cases, ranging from murder and criminal conspiracy to extortion and terror-related offences, have been registered against him across Punjab, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Delhi.
With Anmol Bishnoi now in Indian custody alongside his elder brother Lawrence, investigators anticipate a major breakthrough in dismantling the transnational network responsible for a string of high-profile contract killings, celebrity extortion rackets, and targeted attacks that have shaken Punjab and Maharashtra over the past three years.
