Iran has unveiled a new billboard in central Tehran featuring US President Donald Trump and members of his family above coffins draped in American flags, carrying the slogan “Blood for Blood” in Persian. The banner, which shows a burning White House in the background, includes images of Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, and his five children — Ivanka, Donald Trump Jr., Eric, Tiffany, and Barron Trump.
The latest display is part of Iran’s long-standing use of public billboards and murals as tools of political messaging. The banner comes after another billboard was installed in Tehran’s Enghelab Square showing Trump lying in a coffin, reflecting escalating rhetoric between Tehran and Washington. Such public displays have frequently been used by Iranian authorities and affiliated organisations to communicate ideological and political messages.
Iranian public spaces, particularly major locations in Tehran, have increasingly featured large-scale murals and banners linked to revolutionary themes, military events, and anti-US messaging. Some of the prominent artworks in the capital have been associated with organisations involved in Iran’s state-backed cultural communication efforts, including the Owj Arts and Media Organisation, which has links to bodies connected with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The latest billboard follows repeated statements from Iranian officials threatening retaliation against the United States. Iranian leaders and state media have called for revenge following the killing of senior Iranian military figure Qasem Soleimani in a US drone strike. Iranian officials have continued to warn that those responsible would face consequences, further intensifying tensions between the two countries.
US President Donald Trump has also issued warnings against any potential attack by Iran. Trump has said he instructed officials to launch a large-scale response if Iran were to attempt to assassinate him, stating that such an action would result in a severe military reaction against Tehran. He has previously been a target of threats from Iranian groups following the 2020 US operation that killed Soleimani.
The latest developments come amid renewed tensions in the Middle East, with reports of increased military preparations involving the United States and Israel. The exchange of threats and political messaging has raised concerns over further escalation between Washington and Tehran as both sides continue to issue warnings and display signs of heightened confrontation.
