Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday dismissed allegations made by Punjab Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator Narinder Kaur Bharaj as “baseless and fabricated,” asserting that the claims were aimed at hiding AAP’s failures. Speaking to the media in Delhi, he said the party misled Delhi voters and failed to deliver on promises in Punjab.
CM Saini criticized AAP for causing “mega-deception” in Punjab, noting that after voters shifted support from Congress to AAP, the promises made to the public remain unfulfilled. He emphasized that the law and order situation in Punjab is poor and that farmers there are facing significant hardships.
Addressing flood compensation, Saini pointed out inconsistencies in AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal’s statements, claiming that while Kejriwal promised Rs 20,000 to Punjab farmers, he later mentioned Rs 50,000 in Gujarat. The Chief Minister said this was misleading and intended to misinform the public.

Saini further accused AAP of engaging in pressure politics and urged the party to fulfill commitments made to the people. He clarified that Punjab remains close to his heart and that he visits the state whenever invited, highlighting its historical and cultural connection with Haryana.
The remarks come after MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj alleged that CM Saini tried to lure her with a BJP ticket under the so-called ‘Operation Lotus’ and offered a closed-door meeting to secure her support. She claimed the effort was part of a nationwide strategy to topple elected governments.
CM Saini firmly rejected these claims, calling them factually incorrect, and reiterated that AAP should focus on delivering its promises rather than making false allegations. The exchange adds to the ongoing political tensions between BJP and AAP in the region.
