Hanuman Beniwal, convenor of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) and Member of Parliament from Nagaur, raised several pressing issues during a discussion in the Lok Sabha on Friday concerning the second batch of Supplementary Demands for Grants for the year 2025–26. The MP drew attention to both regional concerns in Rajasthan and broader national priorities.
Speaking in the House, MP Beniwal urged the Central Government to prioritise the basic needs of farmers, youth, and rural communities when allocating additional budgetary resources. He highlighted the need for increased investment in agriculture, irrigation facilities, rural road construction, as well as education and healthcare services, noting that these sectors remain critical for sustainable development.
Beniwal also raised concerns about shortages of domestic and commercial gas cylinders affecting citizens across the country, including in Rajasthan. He questioned the government’s contingency planning to ensure uninterrupted supplies of petrol, diesel, and cooking gas, particularly in light of ongoing geopolitical tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.

On the topic of financial planning, the MP expressed concern over the repeated introduction of Supplementary Demands, arguing that such measures should be limited to genuinely unforeseen circumstances. He noted that these additional requests, coming just months after the annual budget presentation, suggest weaknesses in budgetary management and raise questions about the accuracy of initial financial assessments. Beniwal also highlighted the importance of ensuring that additional funds directly benefit farmers, labourers, youth, and other underprivileged groups.
Turning to civil aviation, MP Beniwal raised safety issues linked to GPS signal interference at various airports. He sought information on the number of flights affected over the past two years, including incidents near Delhi, and measures taken to prevent such occurrences. In response, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol reported 2,354 incidents of GPS interference between November 2023 and December 2025, and 623 incidents from January to February 2026, including in Delhi’s airspace.
Beniwal urged the government to strengthen technical security in the aviation sector by deploying advanced technologies, enhancing surveillance systems, and implementing stringent protocols to prevent GPS spoofing and signal interference. He reaffirmed his commitment to raising issues related to public interest, national security, and citizen welfare through the platform of Parliament.
