At least six rounds were allegedly fired at the main gate of Punjabi singer Gulab Sidhu’s residence in Pharwahi village late Saturday night by three unidentified masked men who arrived on a motorcycle. No injuries were reported in the incident, although the firing left visible marks on the gate of the house. Gulab Sidhu was not present at the residence when the incident took place, but members of his family were reportedly inside. The incident has triggered a police investigation, while a purported audio clip circulating on social media has added another dimension to the case.

According to the police, the three suspects arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire at the residence before leaving the area. CCTV footage of the incident has also circulated on social media and reportedly shows the sequence of events outside the house. The footage appears to show three people on a motorcycle, with one person driving while the other two are seen opening fire. A purported audio clip that has gone viral on social media later appeared to claim responsibility for the shooting. In the audio, gangster Doni Bal allegedly accused Gulab Sidhu of using the name of slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala for personal gain. The speaker also referred to Gulab’s alleged association with people connected to those accused of killing Moosewala and claimed that the firing was intended as a warning. However, the authenticity of the audio and the identity of the person heard in it have not been independently established. Police have also not confirmed the involvement of any gang in the incident.

The alleged remarks in the audio have added a potential motive to the case, but investigators have so far maintained caution. Senior Superintendent of Police, Barnala, Mohammad Sarfaraz Alam said the police were investigating the incident and had not confirmed the involvement of any gang. He said at least six rounds had been fired and that CCTV footage had captured three suspects travelling on a motorcycle. The police are now working to identify the men seen in the footage and determine whether they were responsible for the firing. Further details about the weapon used or the exact circumstances surrounding the attack were not immediately available.
