Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, delivered a wide-ranging address on the occasion of International Workers' Day 2026, outlining his vision for organizational growth, workforce empowerment, and nation-building. Speaking as part of a newly launched internal dialogue initiative titled “Apni Baat, Apno ke Saath,” Adani emphasized the importance of collective learning, resilience, and shared progress across the group’s expanding workforce.
In his speech, Adani highlighted the symbolic significance of Labour Day as a celebration of perseverance and hard work, describing it as a moment that belongs to every individual striving to overcome challenges. He also reflected on a personal milestone, marking 40 years since his marriage, and shared that he began the day with a visit to Kedarnath Temple, where he offered prayers for the nation’s continued growth and the well-being of employees.
Positioning the Adani Group’s journey within the broader narrative of India’s development, Adani referenced the country’s progress since independence and aligned his vision with the national goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047, a target championed by Narendra Modi. He stressed that achieving such ambitions would require collective effort from all citizens and institutions, including the private sector.

Adani also underscored the group’s role in infrastructure and development projects, citing examples such as the Mundra Port, Vizhinjam Port, and the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport. He described these initiatives as contributions to national growth rather than purely commercial ventures. Additionally, he spoke about the redevelopment of Dharavi, framing it as a transformative social responsibility project aimed at improving living conditions for residents.
Outlining future organizational strategy, Adani introduced three key pillars for transformation: a streamlined “three-layer model” to accelerate decision-making, a “partnership model” to strengthen collaboration with contractors and vendors, and a renewed focus on learning and development. He emphasized the need to create growth pathways for workers at all levels, including initiatives such as training programs and the proposed Adani Training Academy to enhance skills and leadership capabilities.
Concluding his address, Adani reiterated the importance of dignity, fair compensation, and inclusive growth within the workforce. He described employees and partners as “nation-builders” and called on them to view their work as a contribution to India’s future. Emphasizing unity across diverse backgrounds, he urged the workforce to collectively commit to progress, reinforcing the group’s broader mission of aligning business success with national development.
