Five young men risked their lives to rescue people trapped inside a car that plunged into a water-filled ditch along the Nighasan-Palia Highway in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri district. The incident occurred after the car reportedly went off the road while trying to avoid a motorcyclist. The vehicle fell into a nearly 10-foot-deep ditch and began filling with water, leaving its occupants in immediate danger.

According to the available information, five people were inside the car when it crashed into the ditch. As the vehicle started sinking, panic spread among those trapped inside. The ditch was filled with water, making it difficult for the occupants to escape on their own and increasing the risk that they could drown if the rescue was delayed.

Five friends who were nearby quickly noticed the accident and rushed towards the ditch. Without waiting for specialised rescue equipment or wasting time, they entered the water one after another to reach the sinking vehicle. Their immediate response helped prevent the situation from developing into a much more serious tragedy.
