Gujarat-Madhya Pradesh industrial ties are set for a boost with a private company proposing an investment of around Rs 1,200 crore in Madhya Pradesh’s PM MITRA Park in Dhar. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav held discussions with the company’s vice-chairman in Ahmedabad on Wednesday regarding the investment, the proposed textile and apparel unit and employment generation. Production at the PM MITRA Park is targeted to begin by next year.
The proposed investment is part of a broader expansion plan covering three locations in Madhya Pradesh — Barlai near Dewas, PM MITRA Park in Dhar and Betma in Indore. The company has already been allotted 105 acres at the PM MITRA Park for the proposed facility. The expansion is expected to create significant employment opportunities, including around 5,000 jobs in the garment sector, while strengthening the state’s textile and apparel manufacturing ecosystem.
Yadav noted that the investment would deepen economic ties between Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh while creating new employment opportunities for young people. The state government also expects increased industrial activity to generate additional resources through tax revenues. Discussions covered incentives available to investors, including capital and interest subsidies, reimbursement of stamp duty and registration charges, and assistance for green industrialisation and research and development facilities.

The meeting also focused on expediting the application process under the CCIP and completing government-level examination and approval of the investment proposal. Water management in industrial areas was another key issue discussed, with Zero Liquid Discharge solutions being considered for textile, pharmaceutical and other industrial clusters. Madhya Pradesh is developing more than 90 industrial parks, where common ZLD systems could potentially support water reuse and more sustainable industrial operations.
Officials also examined the possibility of connecting industrial parks with sewage treatment plants operated by nearby municipal corporations to develop a Circular Water Economy model. The discussions further covered mission-critical communication networks for Simhastha-2028, with potential applications for police, security forces, disaster management agencies, health services and event authorities. The company’s joint venture operates in mission-critical wireless communication, PMRT, walkie-talkie networks and public safety communication solutions.
Yadav invited the company to explore additional investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh and participate in the Global Investors Summit 2027. The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) Neeraj Mandloi, Secretary (Industries) John Kingsley and MPIDC Managing Director Chandramauli Shukla. The Ahmedabad-headquartered company operates across denim, garments, fabrics and the wider textile value chain, with the proposed investment expected to further strengthen Madhya Pradesh’s industrial and employment base.
