A devastating scene unfolded early Saturday morning when a vehicle smashed into a crowd of mostly women waiting to enter a nightclub on Santa Monica Boulevard in East Hollywood. The collision left 30 people injured, with at least three in critical condition, according to the Los Angeles City Fire Department.
Capt. Adam Van Gerpen, the Fire Department’s public information officer, reported that the Nissan Versa struck not only the crowd but also a nearby taco truck and valet stand. Among the victims, paramedics discovered one individual with a gunshot wound, though their identity remains unknown.
“This is a significant incident under investigation by the LAPD,” Van Gerpen told The Associated Press. He noted that bystanders from inside the nightclub rushed to aid the victims before emergency crews arrived.

The crash occurred in a bustling area where people were lined up for food at a taco cart and waiting at a valet stand. The impact demolished the valet podium and damaged the taco truck, scattering chaos across the scene.
