YSRCP Lok Sabha member PV Midhun Reddy, implicated in a Rs 3,500 crore liquor scam, appeared before the Vijayawada ACB court on Sunday, a police official stated. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) arrested Reddy, who represents Rajampet, on Saturday after extensive questioning in Vijayawada.

The investigation targets alleged irregularities in Andhra Pradesh’s liquor policy under the YSRCP regime from 2019 to 2024. Reddy underwent a medical check-up at a Vijayawada government hospital prior to his court appearance, with doctors confirming no health concerns.

The case, highlighting significant financial misconduct, continues to stir political waves in the state.
