A 26-year-old man from Haryana’s Nuh district, identified as Armaan, was arrested on Saturday for allegedly spying for Pakistan, police revealed.
The arrest, triggered by a tip-off from central investigative agencies, exposed a covert operation involving the sharing of sensitive Indian Army and military information with a Pakistan High Commission employee in Delhi.
Nuh police uncovered incriminating evidence on Armaan’s mobile phone, including WhatsApp conversations, photos, and videos sent to Pakistani numbers over an extended period.

The suspect, apprehended in Rajaka village, now faces charges under Section 152 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 2, 3, 4, and 5 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923, for treason and espionage. A local court has remanded him to six days in police custody for further questioning to unravel the espionage network.
This marks a series of such arrest in recent days, raising alarms amid heightened India-Pakistan tensions following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. Investigations continue to trace the full extent of Armaan’s activities and potential accomplices.
