The iconic Amrit Udyan at Rashtrapati Bhavan will open its gates to the public from August 16 to September 14, offering a vibrant blend of nature and innovation, the President’s office announced Saturday. Open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM (last entry at 5:15 PM), the garden will close on Mondays for maintenance, providing a month-long window to explore its revamped attractions.
This year, visitors will be captivated by the new Babbling Brook, a landscaped water feature with cascading streams, sculptural spouts, stepping stones, and a reflective pool. The garden trail includes favorites like Bal Vatika, Herbal Garden, Bonsai Garden, Central Lawn, Long Garden, and Circular Garden, enriched with QR codes offering insights into plant species and design elements. The serene Banyan Grove, featuring reflexology paths, Panchtatva trails, and forest-inspired soundscapes, alongside Herbal and Plumeria Gardens, promises an immersive sensory experience.
Entry is free via Gate No. 35 near North Avenue Road, with online booking available at visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in or through Self-Service Kiosks at the gate. Visitors may carry mobile phones, electronic keys, purses, handbags, water bottles, baby milk bottles, and umbrellas, but other items are prohibited.
