The Andhra Pradesh Government has formally allotted 480 acres across Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli districts to Adani Infra (India) Pvt Ltd, the primary notified partner of Google’s Raiden Infotech India, for establishing a 1 GW AI Data Centre Complex. The Cabinet-approved order, issued on December 2, 2025, transfers the land parcels identified by APIIC directly to the Adani entity following survey completion and possession handover.
Raiden Infotech India, a wholly-owned Google subsidiary, had earlier designated Adani Infra, AdaniConneX, Adani Power, Bharti Airtel, Nxtra Data, and Nxtra Vizag as official partners eligible to execute and operate the project. The state has authorised all partners to avail the full spectrum of incentives promised under the landmark agreement signed with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
The phased development carries a cumulative investment exceeding ₹87,500 crore, with the state committing ₹22,000 crore in structured incentives over the project lifecycle. The facility, designed to Google’s exacting global standards that power services like Search, YouTube, and Workspace, will eventually consume 1,000 MW of power – equivalent to nearly half of Mumbai’s annual electricity demand.

Chief Minister Naidu disclosed that Google has escalated its original $10 billion commitment to $15 billion for Andhra Pradesh, positioning the state as a pivotal hub in India’s artificial intelligence and cloud computing infrastructure. The 1 GW capacity underscores the scale of ambition, dwarfing most existing data centre deployments across the country.
With land transfer formalised and incentives secured, construction timelines are expected to accelerate, cementing Visakhapatnam’s emergence as a strategic gateway for next-generation digital infrastructure in South Asia. The project is poised to generate thousands of high-skill jobs while establishing Andhra Pradesh as the preferred destination for global hyperscale data centre investments.
