The Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Board examinations began on Monday, drawing more than eight lakh students to 3,316 examination centers across the state. The Plus Two exams, a crucial milestone for Class 12 students, are set to run until March 25, marking the start of a busy season for the state’s education system.
As students geared up for the challenge, Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi extended his heartfelt encouragement. “My best wishes to all students appearing for the Plus Two exams today. Face your exams with a calm and confident mind,” he said. Offering practical advice, he urged students to arrive early, tackle familiar questions first, and stay composed when faced with difficulties. “A clear mind always finds answers,” he added. The Governor also called on parents and teachers to foster a supportive, stress-free environment at home, emphasizing their role in boosting students’ morale.
School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi joined the effort to uplift students, personally visiting Natarajan Dhamayanthi Higher Secondary School in Nagapattinam, an examination center for the day. Greeting students, including those transported from nearby schools via special buses, he shared words of motivation. “Write your exams with joy and confidence,” he urged, encouraging a positive mindset among the candidates.
The examination season continues with Class 11 exams scheduled from March 5 to 27, followed by the Class 10 public exams starting March 28, according to an official source. With lakhs of students involved, Tamil Nadu’s education authorities are ensuring a smooth and fair process statewide.
