Newly appointed government recruits from Jammu and Gujarat expressed joy and gratitude after receiving appointment letters at the 19th Rozgar Mela held on Saturday, with many crediting their families’ support for helping them secure the positions. The event, part of the government’s nationwide recruitment drive, saw Prime Minister Narendra Modi distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters across various ministries and departments.
Several candidates shared emotional accounts of their journey, highlighting personal struggles and family encouragement behind their success. Aakriti from Jammu, who has been appointed as a Probationary Officer at the State Bank of India (SBI), said her mother, a single parent, played a crucial role in her preparation. She described the moment of receiving the appointment as deeply emotional for her family, noting that limited vacancies made the achievement even more significant.
Another recruit from Jammu, Shivsaini, also spoke about the strong support he received from his parents throughout his preparation. He said his family expressed pride and emotion upon learning of his selection, adding that becoming a government employee had been a long-cherished goal. He also remarked on the importance of strengthening economic systems and supply chains to support national growth.
