The much-anticipated action thriller War 2, starring Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan, has achieved a remarkable milestone, grossing ₹208.25 crore at the domestic box office within five days of its release on August 14, according to trade tracking website Sacnilk. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, known for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, the film marks the Bollywood debut of Telugu superstar Jr NTR and features Kiara Advani, Ashutosh Rana, and Anil Kapoor in key roles.

As a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War, which earned over ₹471 crore worldwide and was the highest-grossing Indian film of that year, War 2 continues the legacy of the YRF Spy Universe, produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. Hrithik Roshan reprises his role as rogue RAW agent Kabir, now pitted against elite operative Vikram, played by Jr NTR, in a high-stakes global chase. The franchise includes other hits like Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), Pathaan (2023), and Tiger 3 (2023).

The film’s explosive action sequences, stellar cast, and Mukerji’s direction have fueled its strong performance, positioning War 2 as a major contender in the Indian box office landscape. With its gripping narrative and star power, the film continues to draw audiences, cementing its place in the YRF Spy Universe.
