Actress Trisha Krishnan and her mother Uma Krishnan watched actor Vijay’s latest release Jana Nayagan, with Uma expressing mixed emotions after the screening. While she said she enjoyed the film, she also shared her sadness over Vijay’s reported decision to step away from cinema after the movie. Her comments highlighted the emotional response among fans and members of the film fraternity to what is being described as the actor’s final film appearance.
Speaking to ANI, Uma said she and Trisha had a good experience watching the film and appreciated the overall presentation. However, she admitted that Vijay’s possible farewell from movies made the occasion emotional. “We had a good time. We really enjoyed the movie. I feel bad that this is his last film. We are going to miss him,” she said.
Trisha and Vijay have previously shared the screen in several successful Tamil films, becoming one of the most recognised on-screen pairs in the industry. Their collaborations include popular movies such as Ghilli, Thirupaachi, and Leo. Trisha also made a special appearance in Vijay’s 2024 film The Greatest Of All Time, further adding to their long association in Tamil cinema.

Over the years, Vijay and Trisha have frequently attracted public attention due to speculation surrounding their personal lives. Their public appearances and Trisha’s birthday message for Vijay earlier this year led to renewed discussions among fans. However, both actors have not publicly commented on the rumours. Reports earlier this year also claimed that Vijay’s wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, had filed for divorce, though details surrounding the matter have not been officially confirmed by the actor.
Directed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan features music by Anirudh Ravichander and includes an ensemble cast with actors such as Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Priyamani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Prakash Raj. The film’s release has drawn significant attention as fans celebrate Vijay’s latest performance while also reflecting on the possibility of the end of his acting journey.
