The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas, is inching closer to the ₹140 crore mark at the domestic box office, though collections witnessed a slowdown on its tenth day in theatres. The horror-comedy earned an estimated ₹2.5 crore on its second Sunday, taking its total India net collection to ₹139.25 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.
The Maruthi-directed film registered an overall Telugu occupancy of 28.37% on January 18. Morning shows saw relatively lower footfall at 20.03%, while afternoon shows picked up momentum with 34.72% occupancy. Evening shows performed marginally better at 35.33%, before dipping again during night shows to 23.41%.
Released on January 9, The Raja Saab hit theatres across multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. Ahead of its official release, special fan preview shows were organised in several cities, drawing attention not only for packed halls but also for unusual fan behaviour.

Videos from these previews went viral on social media, showing fans entering cinema halls carrying dummy crocodiles. Some were even seen lifting the fake reptiles over their heads, recreating a scene from the trailer in which Prabhas is shown fighting a crocodile, adding to the film’s pre-release buzz.
The film follows the story of a man searching for his missing grandfather, only to confront a sinister presence inside a mysterious mansion. It blends elements of horror and comedy, a genre combination that has drawn mixed but curious audience responses.
The Raja Saab marks the Telugu debut of Malavika Mohanan and features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar and Zarina Wahab. The project is jointly produced by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment, with box office performance in the coming days expected to determine whether it crosses the ₹140 crore milestone.
