Sunita Ahuja has shared fresh details about the emotional reconciliation that ended the long-running rift between her family and actor Krushna Abhishek's family. Speaking on Lock Upp Season 2, Sunita revealed that the reconciliation came after nearly 14 years of estrangement and took place on the sets of Laughter Chefs. She said the meeting was marked by heartfelt apologies and emotional moments that brought an end to one of the most talked-about family disputes in the entertainment industry.
Recalling the reunion, Sunita said she had not seen Krushna Abhishek's children, who are now nine years old, during the years of separation. She also spoke about her close bond with Krushna during his childhood, saying she had helped raise him. According to Sunita, the long period without contact made the reunion particularly emotional for everyone involved, as years of misunderstandings finally gave way to forgiveness.
Sunita revealed that actor Kashmera Shah played a key role in ending the family feud. She said Kashmera became emotional during their meeting, apologised for the past and broke down in tears. According to Sunita, Kashmera fell at her feet while seeking forgiveness and accepted responsibility for the misunderstanding. The gesture moved Sunita deeply, and she said she also began crying as memories of the years spent apart resurfaced.

Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Sunita had confirmed that the differences between the families had been resolved. She said she no longer wished to hold on to resentment and wanted only to bless the younger members of the family. Sunita added that Krushna's late mother had been one of the closest people in her life and had known about her relationship with Govinda long before the couple got married, making the family's bond especially meaningful.
The disagreement between the families reportedly became public after comments made on The Kapil Sharma Show upset Govinda and Sunita. Over time, the dispute evolved into a prolonged public feud involving Sunita and Kashmera Shah, with both sides making remarks in interviews that kept the issue in the spotlight. The strained relationship also resulted in limited interaction between the two families for several years.
With the reconciliation now complete, Sunita said she is happy to move forward and leave the past behind. Her latest remarks suggest that the families have chosen forgiveness over prolonged conflict, bringing closure to a chapter that had attracted significant public attention. The reunion has been welcomed by fans, who had long hoped to see the two families restore their relationship after years of separation.
